New Training Guidance!!!!!
In order to make signing up for classes easier the training bureau and the IT department have developed a fully intranet-based system to sign up for classes. No more filling out the bottom of a flyer and waiting for someone to call training and sign you up, or e-mailing a 48.14V to the training receptionist. Just follow the simple steps below to sign up for classes. You will receive e-mail confirmation directly to you from training! We will be posting the updated training calendar each week so you can keep up with the training that is available to you as a volunteer. It is important to note that you need to follow your individual station protocals concerning signing up for classes.

Instructions

It is important to note- this is RVC intranet access only and so the application process must be completed on the station computer. You begin by going to this website: (from the station computer)

http://rruintranet/Apps/TrainingCalendar/

  1. Select the class you wish to attend from the training calendar

  2. Click on the enroll button

  3. Complete the form fill

  4. Select your supervisor or approving official from the drop down list. If you do not see the name of your supervisor scroll down to "other" and type in the fire.ca.gov e-mail address of your Volunteer Liaison. Enter your email information (This is so the confirmation goes directly to you) Click the submit request button.

  5. The system will now ask you to upload any required forms.  This is where you upload your RCO 48.14V. All classes sponsored in conjunction with a Community College require an enrollment confirmation receipt to be submitted. Important: The system will only let you upload .doc or .pdf files!

  6.    Once you have uploaded the correct forms, submit your request.

  7.  The request for training and all forms are placed in a pending file within the system.  A request to approve is now sent to your supervisor.  The supervisor will either approve or deny your request.  Once approved the training staff will add your name to the class roster.

  8.  An email is generated any time an action is taken on your request.

  9.  Once the approval is received training staff will add you to the class.  You can view the class rosters by clicking on the roster button.

Click on the link below to view the updated training calendar. Remember, this is a read only file that is provided for your convenience. You must go to your station to actually sign up for a class.
