Volunteer Fire Fighter Academy
The Riverside County Volunteer Fire Academy is an intensive 15+ week academy that trains recruit Volunteer Firefighters for responding to emergencies.  Some of the training includes;

Wildland Fire Safety
Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
Hose Loads, Ladders and other Fire Equipment
Structure, Vegetation and Vehicle Fire Suppresion

Hose Lays
Search and Rescue
Salvage
Building Construction
Roof Operations and Ventilation
Live Fire and Flashover Training

Certification Provided in

S-130
Hazardous Materials First Responder Operational
Auto Extrication
L-180 Human Factors on the Fireline
S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior
Confined Space Awareness
Swift Water Awareness
* additional certications may be added

Prerequisite: Students must possess at a minimum  Public Safety First Aid and Healthcare Provider CPR prior to the start of each class.  For those who do not possess this as a minimum, you will be required to attend these courses prior to the first day of class.
